i have older content on my tumblr for sims 4 that may or may not still work so be warned about that since it's a game that still receives updates. the sims 2 & 3 items i have on there should still work because those are games that obvs don't get updates anymore lmao

i cannot suggest mccc enough, it's something i used with sims 3 as well and it has a lot of components to make gameplay a lot more interesting lmao

scumbumbo is a creator whose mods i used a lot, it's sad to hear that they've passed away but this website has a collective of friends and acquaintances that have been keeping their mods updated

and ofc if you've been using custom content you know of the standard mod the sims, there is also the sims resource & tfm's naughts sims asylum

garden of shadows has always been near and dear to my heart and i'm glad to see they're still up and running

kijiko is also someone whose work i absolutely love, they make 3D eyelashes among other things

sims4updates is a good resource for seeing updates from multiple creators, it looks like they haven't updated since april of last year but it's still good to check out content

if you're interested in having drugs and/or alcohol in game basemental has that stuff covered

SrslySims has a nice collection of mods and custom content, and besides it's a pretty website to look at lmao

Sacrificial Mods needs a CW here for a lot of blood/violence so i'll warn you about that right off the bat. But they have mods for a lot of horror and apocalyptic themes, as well as some smutty romance

i'll be going through my bookmarks to see what all is still up and active and i'll come back to this

alright i've been reblogging a lot of stuff on my sims tumblr, i wanted to hit y'all with some resources for those of you that are as broke as i am. i'm putting a warning here before posting these two links, but pls pls pls make sure you have an ad-blocker, one of them suggests u-block origin. they have a lot of ads to sort of hide their stuff

ts4 rebels has a lot of stuff that is paywalled through patreon or other means, they have everything sorted by creator to make it easier but it's still not a guarantee to find everything. kemono.party is trickier,

i tend to search the site via google using the whole site:url (creator name) in order to find the pages

so those are resources for you if you find stuff that's behind a paywall

also, this fuckin user is like a godsend for guy hairstyles. you have no idea how much i struggled with finding nice guy hair when i used to play before
