I really do love the hydra with all my heart.... it feels so natural for me to use and I love the range and also the rate of fire makes it quite reliable.... also being an anchor is satisfying because my teammates are able to get back quicker safe since I know to hang back a reasonable distance
some days I'm absolutely trash with it and am being over aggressive and die repeatedly, other days I'm very responsible and don't go too far and either die never or only once or twice....
....I didn't realize you had to scan the amiibos again to collect the new pieces of each outfit and have been grinding like a fuck ton of games without collecting anything oopsie!!!

I don't even think I'm particularly deadly with the dualies!!! my theory is that I waste people's ink by pushing them so aggressively without actually killing them and then after I die, a teammate comes to clean them up while they are low on resources. a war of attrition 👼
idk whether there is mmr in turf war, but if there is, the fact I (who have played 240 hours of splat 3) am consistently getting matched with new players starts feeling like An Insult
I believe turf war does, and its a veerryy loose mmr, and always has been. Ranked battles there's actually one in place. I get newbies occasionally too.

oh my god. just played a tricolor where my teammate spent every minute of the game in our spawn making sure every little piece of ground was covered in ink. i watched the replay and watched them remain in spawn for far too long instead of helping me push.
i probably could've used the 'this way' prompt to encourage them to follow me, but like............. you going into tricolor doing this??????? not trying EVEN ONCE to go for the ultra signal... i wanted to pull my hair out looking up and seeing them Still standing there inking the same spots
Although I am often impressed by the skill of most fps pro-gamers, it is truly the splat specialists that strike the most fear into my heart. there was a snipewriter sitting in our spawn the entire tricolor game and no matter how many times I killed them, they always came back and kept killing us and making it so we could not get past the first choke with both of us alive. CAN YOU GET A NEW HOBBY PLEASE
