Pit bulls: sweet and protective of their owners, but can be deadly. And potentially financially ruinous for their owners if they attack someone.

A neighbour told me not to worry, the humans have had a dog before. That’s about the time I became worried. I hope the dogs won’t be put down.

They're on the list of banned pets in my building, but that ban isn't being enforced. The list includes dogs over a certain weight, as well as a long list of specific breeds.
