for me, the cycle of writing anything solo is like

step 1: "i have an idea that i really like, this is great, i'm so excited, i'm going to be proud of this"

step 2: "fuck, this isn't working, it's not coming out right, it's never going to be as good as it is in my head, this is so disappointing"

step 3: "okay i've figured it out and i'm back to really liking it again, i just like it for different reasons than i thought i would"

As long as you hit step 3, you're golden <3
