My bff who's driving down for the holidays and I always joke about how our combined astronomically weird bad luck could kickstart the apocalypse... she bought new tires for the trip yesterday and when she started to leave today it went flat.

it's so bizarrely unlikely we're just laugh-crying and like "??? this is par for the course but is this an omen for the trip???"

the mechanic showed it to her and that it had been slashed and said if it was on the outside he'd ask who she pissed off

she responded "god, apparently"

every time we get together series of weird awful things start happening

This happened to me once. It might not have been slashed. It might be that she hit the side of a sharp sidewalk like ones you get at a grocery store place. it's a clean cut for new tires almost looks like it got slashed.

Well yeah, the mechanic said it was actually probably installed incorrectly. She had trust issues and went to a different one to fix it lmsdjkfs.

Because it was slashed internally.

Oh! I missed that. Well... yeah.

If she got insurance for it then she should be able to get replaced for free.

She has had her tires actually slashed before. People have followed her home in road rage and the next day her tires were slashed. She put up a security camera after that at the police's recommendation hsdjfds.

Or the bolts loosened and the tire flew off on the highway.

Like I said... cataclysmically, horrifically bad luck.
