The issue is really that he's a man having an episode surrounded by a society and culture that benefits from antisemitism. Same way a lot of people with religious backgrounds have religious delusions, especially when encouraged by people around them.

It's kind of disconcerting to watch this all happen with that perspective, tbh. Especially the way people are really taking advantage of him to further THEIR agendas.... like, he SHOULD NOT have a platform, this man should NOT be allowed to be a mouthpiece for hate. Oh, huh, my bad - I'm familiar with bipolar disorder mainly as wild mood swings, not psychosis/delusions/hallucinations, so I didn't realize it could genuinely present as Beliefs The Person Doesn't Really Hold

Yeah, bipolar can cause psychotic symptoms, there's also psychotic depression. I've even noticed sort of a weird issue in the general understanding of psychosis where people mash mood disorder symptoms and psychotic symptoms together in their idea of what psychosis looks like.

It's actually really interesting to me personally as someone who experiences schizophrenia-psychosis without mood disorder symptoms, BUT that's sort of a side topic snamgdjd the point is: yeah Kanye's not okay and he's not totally in touch with reality.
