[trails/hajimari-reverie end game spoilers] Thinking about the single most audacious thing that Trails Into Reverie does.

And that’s after keeping them out of reach from you the entire game, at the 11th hour in the final main boss gauntlet, they go

“Here’s a tutorial on Soldat/Divine Knight battles, you get to do this again.”

And don’t get me wrong. It fucking ruled.

But it is at that point over 85 hours on the clock. Which is admittedly? The shortest game in the Cold Steel series. But SERIOUSLY.

In fairness earlier Trails games are much shorter.

They keep me engaged regardless which is a lot for me so.

Yeah, 85 hours is pretty quick.

I’d honestly say Reverie is the game that earns its runtime the least, there’s a LOT of padding outside the main story, way more than CS1 through 4 ever had.

But I still enjoyed it.
