: 💯, SB on Balmung was a fucking nightmare, 9k+ queues all day every day, Raubahn Savage... real glad they sundered Bal and Greg from each other because having two of the most populous worlds on the same DC was suffering sometimes.
still, i really appreciate the transparency that Yoshi-P gave us through the whole thing, as well as the down to earth explanations of a highly technical situation + supply chain pressures + sudden unforseen influx of players mere months before the expansion drop
Im an Aussie playing on NA servers so I was always playing in quiet hours. I also couldn't play with any of my friends who invited me because of that (and no DC travel to play with the friend who was in my timezone) so I played solo and sorta just documented my dungeon adventures while I did
I don't think the next xpac will hit Endwalker levels, fortunately, the next xpac won't be the long awaited end to a long story arc, won't have a world stopping pandemic and a rival large MMO pissing off its entire playerbase all at launch.
i'm taking a break from XIV atm and... playing XI actually i hadn't touched it for some years prior to when Rhapsodies came out and XIV did the Iroha crossover the first time, account was still there.
it made me go back when it first came out, it made me cry lmao. my xiv character was an expy of my xi one so its like oh... no you're talking to your Master just... ina different world ;;
i started playing XI back in like... '02 or '03 so going back at any time feels like going HOOOOOOOME, RIDING HOOOOOOOME (as i yelled at a friend who plays both games with me lol) because i played for so long.
In theory, anyway.
