i dreamed i was in a house and part of it set on fire at one point and i tried to get everyone away but this one kid was trapped in a room

by trapped i mean i opened the door and couldn't find him and it took a minute to realize he was somehow stuck between the sliding closet doors (don't question dream logic)

he reminded me vaguely of ortho from toast

but probably human?

other people in the house included my mom and a girl who was ummm developmentally slow? i don't know what's considered the correct language these days but anyway after the fire incident was taken care of (somehow) i realized the house opened up onto an open market so i decided to buy some easy educational books to help out the girl

but then i got distracted and wondered if i could teach her chinese because this one stall had shelves full of elementary chinese storybooks, so i picked up like...five

then i saw clothes and thought, i should buy pajamas! except by pajamas i meant i wanted to wear one of these outfits probably meant to be a costume of some sort...but as pajamas!

i was really torn but there was one that was a big floppy pink/white dress thing that looked simple but cozy...i also went outside at one point but i remember nothing else
