[EMP] So I rarely go on here outside posting the actual updates but I want to discuss something here, so people take note, and it will also be added to the posts themselves.

This has been kind of an unofficial stance but I'll be making it formal in the posts' rules (and on the mod contact).

All mod responses have always been and will almost universally be public.

If I have to thwap someone for a rule break, it will be posted under the rule break. Sometimes I'll be willing to screen the individual post at the player's request, if they're politely reposting, but my preference is to leave at least my post unscreened.

This has always been the case. No one is exempt.

About 99% of any PM conversations have been someone PMing me first. If the discussion has stayed polite, it usually ends there. If the person gets a little tetchy, it'll be capped and posted in the comments of the mod posts for the sake of transparency.

The only times I've PMed someone privately was if it was a mod that seemed new to modding that maybe needed some gentle direction on the meme format or where to post something.

That's because those instances are often just some kind of misspost or misplacement rather than a rule break.

Since this was an issue with someone, I'm making it very clear here and pointing out that is always how it's been and how it always will be. It will now be overtly put on the emp posts as well.
