but every Replicant mind's foundation is a direct copy of a Gestalt's brain

with all of the memories suppressed and identity erased

leaving only the skills

so, if you need a pilot, you make a Replika of a Gestalt who's a pilot

now you have a Replika who's good at piloting

and who exists entirely to pilot

the original personality is not entirely erased

so each Replika model comes with a specific list of triggers to avoid

do not put them in certain circumstances

or the Gestalt personality and memories will be activated
