Everything she said was very valid, so I cannot help but agree with her ; after what happened, the last thing Azul needed was some heavy punishment. Thus the very common phrase of knocking sense into him
i mean, he fucked up, there's no mistake about that. it just shocked me that yelling and aggression is what's encouraged when azul has responded well (and even better) to gentleness
ofc, not that i fault franky for responding the way she is! it does make me happy that she's dropping some of her own poker face to really get across her feelings to azul. and that def helped
Well, then that just makes two of us surprised, given gentleness felt like that last thing anyone deserves from their warden after doing/saying anything remotely similar (e.g. the answer he gave her, given that was... lol)
can't say i agree on the first part. i firmly believe it's the place of a warden to help their inmates navigate tough and confusing situations. like, is azul being an ideal inmate? fuck no, and he shouldn't be bc he's dealing hardcore with grief and guilt, and probably still some shock too
If anything, I think it's more about teaching than full-on helping. All being soft and/or gentle at someone would do, imho, is set them up to potentially learn nothing, depending on the inmate
And I just happen to be the type to encourage tough love when I think it's fitting. But I won't do that again with this CR if it feels weird or uncomfortable for anyone involved
i mean i'm ngl i have a huge soft spot for kids. especially ones that are (and have experienced) trauma. and like. slamming one's fist on the table, causing something to break, intrusion of personal space are aggressive behaviors. coupled with the fact azul got his ass handed to him by sweeney before, it's frightening situation for him
this is fine, everything's fine
and then there's This
GOD... i was gonna do more than just this thread but
but revenge!
