i'm going to metagenomics lab instead of bed, which is stressful on its own, but that's the sentimennt

the assignment requires me to do everything in dumbass, arcane ways which make no sense to test my programming knowledge, which makes it worse

because there's a less horseshit way to do this but it gets me a lower grade
