there's a running joke in the movie the tourist where the main character is in Italy and keeps speaking to people in broken Spanish thinking he's saying things in broken Italian.

and the concierge of the posh hotel just calmly says "you speak very good Spanish, sir" and he's just like ....thank you.

I got almost the entire sentence 🥴 one half of my family is Sicilian. can do it a bit with Spanish too. glad I'm not the only one
