because one of the big things that's been drawing me into the show is thinking about how the events of the prologue - the bond beween Lfrith and Ericht and Eri killing four people as a child after forming a permanent bond with the Gundam - will play into the person she's become since then

and if the person we're following isn't even the same person then that thread falls apart
