At a friend's to celebrate his birthday and you know things are going wild when you start cat stacking

We may have gotten a bit bored as they put their twins down to bed

I think it says something that I've spent 6-7 hours with two 18 month olds and I have photos of the cat and 0 of the babies

sounds like my mind of party

I was so bored. I am not the biggest fan of kids.

And I thought we were going to be done around 6-7 8 at the latest. 11pm. We stayed until 11pm. I have done nothing today except laundry, a doctor visit, and babies.

Which just cements to me that I am not cut out to be a parent

I did get a couple of photos of kids but that as cause I had phone out to take photo of cat...

Oogie is such a good cat

And they are good, cute kids. I just hit my limit of being entertained by children several hours before we left.

When we got invited over for a quiet meal party I did not expect that to last nine hours

yeah that is a v. long meal party

I would have adored those children for approximately 30 mins

I think I could be perfectly happy spending that long or even longer with the kids if I had time to mentally prepare myself for it.

It was the unexpected length that really threw me, but it was good. I haven't seen these friends in ages and I think they really appreciated the adult company so it was worth it

I just would have done a lot more on Friday/Saturday if I had known I wasn't getting home until after 11pm from their plane.

And the kids are actually lovely, very well behaved and just looking for fun and attention. Their favourite game for the evening was having us throw a blanket over their heads so they could pull it off. Basically peek a boo

lol okay that is adorable

And don't forget 'pong'. Where one kid literally just ran back and forth between me and dad giggling like crazy
