I overestimated my capacity to get back and we were too far, and the colleges were going into lockdown because duh school shooters and there were these "Christian" colleges also having prayer circles but they were taking a hardline stance against LGBT+ so it just created more division and people who were like "I'm gay dwi" also going all the way into demon
So I was trying to convince both sides NOT to go that far, navigate between literal school shooters, demons, and then it hit just before midnight and I was like "Oh it's fine, I have the teleport button!" but it didn't work so I was stuck outside with the person I was protecting and we had to try the harder way to get back and
so then between Midnight and 2am more and more demons flood and sometimes they take animal forms, and generally they avoided holy light, but our flashlights could only do so much and we had to run between each house and to where the lights were brightest (having the house dark was a clear "stay the fuck away")
we did OKAY at first, but it kept getting worse and worse and WORSE and finally it was just constant snakes who you couldn't really focus the lights on and could handle it with the slithering, and then like this demonic pegasus wraith overhead, and literally EVERYONE still outside in the region was trying to shine flashlights on it because
And just I was like "Holy fuck we've barely gotten 2 blocks, we're SO FAR away" but there was a rescue shelter ready to take in stragglers, and so I'd joined up with a bunch of others and got them inside but just I was the last one out because I can't run fast at all and when I finally got rescued was a puddle of shaking like a TOTAL mess and just
