Me: I'm pretty sure this character is violently straight and wouldn't do X thing, even with his wife. Them: But have you considered comics banned gay people until recently? Me: Yeah, but he's pretty clearly married and not gay. Them: He might be if you weren't too homophobic to accept my argument.
It was in the context of whether the Absorbing Man would wear an adamantium buttplug to make it so he always had it on hand. I was arguing he probably wouldn't even let his wife finger his butt, let alone wear a plug.
The argument against rings and piercings made by someone else was that they could too easily be removed in a fight with the Hulk or someone. (Someone else decided that tossing a ring down his pants would work fine and that seems to have settled that argument.)
like......his sexual orientation doesn't figure into it i think he might be bi and in denial but even a bottom i think would think, "adamantium bracelet" or "adamantium nose piercing, the kind where you can put a bar in your septum and no one will see it" before a buttplug for everyday wear
i really don't think it has to do with his orientation, i think it has to do with what a quick google about this guy is telling me he would think of. does creel even know what a buttplug is.
My stance is just that he's so hung up on masculinity and straightness that he'd think taking anything up the butt is gay. (Not that this means I endorse that view, mind, just that I think that's what he'd think.)
