I actually went and read one of his books after hearing about this a few weeks ago (his previous troubles) and his books are really good if you like sci-fi!

Believe me, a part of me would be very happy if these people would just Go Away, but it doesn't solve the underlying problems. How did they wind up like this, and how do we prevent it from happening to more people? This is systemic.
