I don't know why I'm surprised that there's Omegaverse manga out there. I guess I just thought that was a small part of Western fandom.

Also het abo pops up which is fascinating 2 me. Some universes in abo manga include female alphas, like usually as a background character but like they’re there

There’s also a subgenre of abo manga that’s dom/sub universes where dom/ sub dynamics manifest as “secondary genders” similar to how they do in abo

Sexism is translated into the ABO dynamics where alpha is the penultiment most elite, betas are regular people and omegas are generally like bottom rung citizens

Like it’s not that deep but it is there and it’s usually for Drama because obviously

Omegas masquerading as a beta and being hyper competent is a frequent theme. Like obvi there’s more overlap with like original fiction abo than fic specifically

Also there’s like these two or three pages that show up before the manga proper story starts that sets up the basic world building of what I think is like the general agreed upon rules of this universe, I’ve seen it in a couple different manga from different artists and idk if its a thing the scanlations are doing or if it’s standard
