How do I explain that "feel free to talk to me" "my DMs are open" are NOT the way to cheer up an introvert?

like I'm ONLY gonna be open and talk to selective people... and even then, I lost a good friend that I often pour on lately and he stopped responding to me months ago and I feel really betrayed and distrustful rn, I treated him as my bestie and the worst thing is that he has NEVER told me the thing I did wrong to him

I have zero clue on why he would hate me. He changed right after his father died a few months ago. This also happened to one of my bffs in Japan when he stopped talking to me after her grandmother died and he blocked me one day after I tried my best to save the friendship

I dunno I love clinging on to people too much that it can break my heart.

Loss can have a really profound effect on people. I won't say it justifies anyone's behavior, though.
