Throwback to the moment when I realized that soda was called a soft drink to designate it as non-alcoholic, as opposed to hard drinks, a.k.a. hard liquors and the like.

It's one of those things that just doesn't quite register until you see it in the right context

I don't remember the exact circumstances that it hit me, but I think it was something like being at a bar and there was the usual drinks menu, plus a sub-menu of "Soft Drinks and Mocktails" or something else along those lines

also kind of funny tho when you consider Coca-Cola used to have cocaine in it XD
