Sometimes tv shows REALLY annoy me!

"Oh look! Our new friend we were sus about but like now picked up that magical device and now he'd stronger and has powers like that bad guy we were fighting before and kinda looks like now I think about it but its probably a total coincidence! We need to work this out!"

Its a cdrama I'm watching lol. And I'm basically shouting at the characters because they're literally have ALL THE INFO they need and they keep saying the right words but... totally missing the mark!

That makes me think of a scene in the Gamers where a player was bringing in his new character after the previous one died

DM: Remember, you're in hostile territory and should be cautious

Player with new character: HI, I see you're looking for a wizard.

Other player: You seem trustworthy. Welcome aboard.

Dealing with something like that in one of my games. IT os made specifically so people can swap out their characters when they die/retire/go insane, but we are having so much trouble because of the opposite. All the other character are like "Yeah, but why should we trust you, exactly..?" LOL

Maybe not that extreme, but it is still hard remerging into the group.
