god it depends on the type of game. if the game is capped at a player/character cap, you need a cast cap or one canon will eat the whole thing

personally I prefer to use fanart for characters with no established image, but that's because I tend to get a very particular Idea of what they look like and I personally don't like PBs very much

I really like a wide range of expression in my icons, and pbs tend to fall into like. modelface. and then i can't even commission other people to make more icons because I'm stuck with this Person

like no shade on people who use PB choices! They can be really nice and i even have some PBs for podcast characters. but on the whole I very very much prefer fanart for my own personal icons

I'm ok with it! As long as I like... can keep using whatever I want lmao. This happened in TAZ wth the graphic novel designs, because I'm really not a fan of blue Taako (I've always used a design with brown skin/light hair a la the DND sun elf that his character sheet is based on) but like, to each their own

okay so bear with me here because I don't know if this is a genre per se but it's the only way i can describe it: I miss traditional, long-form, old school jamjars. Ryslig is the closest thing I have but truly I miss an ever-evolving world where you could play someone in a game for 5+ years and gain such a basis on the world and environment

I'm talking stuff like Discedo, Ruby City, hell even like. luceti and other shit like that in the olden days. I really miss being able to settle into a game and make a serious home there in a world the characters could modify but really let them grow

Murdergames are not even in the realm of possibility for the kind of energy I can put into rp. I want to be able to like... know I can play a character for maybe 3 or 4 years, get some real growth out of them

Oh, I feel you on that! The last game Kathryn and I modded with someone else was that sort of thing. It was a CRAU-only game that was basically a young god taking in refugees from DWRP and creating a home for them that they helped to build and develop along with the god.

I don't rp smut, I don't want to rp smut, but it is just. all so many people want. like ngl I'm really glad I pushed past it and apped to apoc but terri I was so fucking terrified at first bc ya'll were in duplicity

(I've had bad experiences in the past where people have refused to play with me or otherwise straight-up ignored me in rp for not playing smut, and like, smut cast games seemed to fill up like nuts while I was struggling for castmates elsewhere and let me tell you: I Was Fucking Paranoid!)

MAN good question... I'm a sucker for child events ngl just because I play a collection of people who would be little shit demons as children. same with memshares because it actually gets my fools to talk about their past even if they don't want to (and they never want to)
