And it's like...she's shown physically and emotionally abusing him, literally had a party on their anniversary to celebrate them not being divorced that he had to find out about in a newspaper, and used the party to loudly humiliate him
I mean, yeah, he definitely should have gotten divorced. It was stated in the show that he thought it would be better for their daughter if they stayed married
Especially since the one who was cheated on already said she hated her husband, hated that she had to make him produce an heir for her and that he'd just stare off into space while she did everything
it might've been nice if his "fuck it, I don't care anymore, I'm getting out" action catalyst wasn't cheating, but it sounds like it's not any worse than what she's done to him? and he is getting out now
Like I'd get it if they were once like happily married.... But thats not the reason why? He is finally standing up tp his abuser. Or at least one of them. I would also lump his dad into this.
It's just like...the reasons cheating is bad are because it hurts your partner. If your partner already absolutely hates you and only likes seeing you if they get the chance to make you miserable, then it doesn't really count
I think that's why he had so much trouble with boundaries and understanding what's too much when he started sleeping with Blitzo, because people usually explore that stuff when they're teenagers, but now at thirty something he, for the first time in his life, gets to actually enjoy sex
And I do think they need to get rid of the deal with the grimoire, because that 1. Means Blitz has to actually decide if he wants to spend time with Stolas instead of feeling like it's an obligation
see, the extra confusing thing about the "he should have just murdered her" thing is that it's Hell, eventually it IS reversible unless you kill them with angel weapons.
Stolas is some level of demon royalty, Stella's made it clear her family has a level of power in their own right, if he murders her that's a fantastic way to kick off an outright war in Hell because her side of the family would absolutely refuse to stand for it
murder is, like always, the worst possible choice, but because it's Hell and the circumstances being what they are it's an even worse choice than usual
clearly he's good in bed with the right partnerI have a Millie muse. she's so badass and sweet at the same timeT3TBut. That'd make things so, so much worse.
