i was going nuts with my store build and kept trying to find the light sources that keep popping up and glaring everything out. EVERYTHING was a light source, floor, lamps, eaves, windows, door handles. You name it it was popping light and glow out.

i think i have it all now, i already tried a global turn off and thought that had done it, nope gotta go bit by bit to find em all, even the damn shadow prims are light sources.

that's kind of crazy >.< you can turn on lightboxes in advanced (i forget exactly what it's called) that will show lines where lights still are, might help you see if you've missed any (or if you run into it again!)

ooo ty Allegory that will be a life saver. This build also seems to revert somewhat (im on linden mainland) now n then and more light shows up. Good i wear pale skin lol, it glows but gonna try that trick now to make sure nothing more is there

i wonder if it's scripted to turn on lights too somewhere? if something went wonky with the script, might be why everything became a light?

hmm pretty sure its got no scripts in it but will go hunting for that too

you can batch descript an entire thing (make sure no doors or whatnot you want to be able to run) by selecting it in Edit and then Build menu maybe? there's a remove scripts from selection (also set to not running in selection) and it'll run through them all for you

also you can do the math with the More Info tab when you've got the whole thing selected: Server cost is .5 per object so if it isn't half of number of prims, there's a script in there (scripts are .25 per script)
