It's good to see someone mentioning the dangers of a Constitutional Convention or ConCon, but the push is not new. Koch Bros began more than 15 years ago to push for a ConCon to limit the ability to regulate industry.
Republicans' next big play is to 'scare the hell out...

I tend to avoid seeing conspiracies, believing that incompetence is more common than malice, but Cenk Uyger is a big proponent of a ConCon to get rid of Citizens United. He also got millions from Republican Buddy Roemer to support TYT. He has a PAC called Wolf-PAC that was caught sending fake Voter's Pamphlets to people in Tina Kotek's district

Not just no, but hell no

because Tina wouldn't take steps (as Speaker) to advance a vote in favor of a ConCon (for very good reason) Uyger still pushes ConCon as a solution to all our problems but how? The legislatures that choose the folks to will be tasked to write it are mostly Republican.

Uyger mostly attacks Dems and seems to me a great return on Roemer's investment in harming Democrats.

Uyger feels to me like on of those Russian Propaganda folks - push leftist stuff, then slides in the opposite every so often just to get the non-critical thinkers into just going along with it.

Another thing about the ConCon, after they rewrite the Constitution into a theocratic authoritarian nightmare with no bill of rights, only state legislatures get to vote to approve or disapprove. 34 heavily gerrymandered state legislatures.

That would be such a pandora's box. Once the d3elegates are chosen and "open up" the constitution, basically nothing can stop them from making any changes they like to it, if I recall correctly, regardless of pre-chosen agendas. They could remove the 1st amendment, add 20 new ones, abolish taxes, ect. and no power except another convention could change it.
(((Cajsa)))
It would have to be ratified by 34 states, but that could happen

TBH there’s definitely parts of that document that are outdated but if it’s reworked or more amendments added then it definitely needs to be a bipartisan committee and that just won’t ever happen.
(((Cajsa)))
It can be amended one thing at a time, but hard to do right now. The danger of ConCon is the ability to throw it out and replace it wit a new document.

I honestly think that this will happen eventually. It really feels like that right now.
