I'm definitely very happy with cups but I do have the luxury of working in a building that has one publicly accessible loo with running water where I can change it

see, I have to have one foot up on something, and then do like, an awkward squat to be able to get it in there, which is not doable in public toilets

yeah it's... less a problem for me, usually I can do it sitting on the toilet seat

(and since tampons have gotten me to nearly faint and pads are, um. shifty, cup is definitely the most convenient option for me. which is not to say the original plurk is wrong, it's a fuckery that they are so expensive)

I used to do reusable pads, but most of the time my flow is so heavy I was saturating them too quickly, plus that much laundry is a pain and a half, especially when you have to rinse them out before you can even put them in the wash

Not only that, but they just weren't that absorbent and I ended up ruining a lot of underwear and pants
