I've seen people say that the dragoon armor doesn't actually do that much to protect against dragon and its primary purpose is to fuck up a dragon's throat when it tries to eat you which, yeah, it does that but that doesn't mean it can't also protect you from attacks in general
I feel like Estinien losing his lips might have something to do with he probably is suffering a lot of after effects from Nidhogg's whole everything so maybe he's just still recovering???
