backdrop city in RL?

i've been to popups of backdrop city in RL! room after room set up expressly for instagramming yourself. rooms full of huge candy, rubber duckies, a wind tunnel room thing, etc.

(hilariously, we didn't take a camera because we didn't know that was what it was)

haha I wonder what kinda backdrops they have. I've seen ones like Allegory : mentioned or like fake private plane interior

Yeah we have a couple of those places. And one that is more like a traditional photo studio, but BYOCamera

They opened one of those in our town recently. lol

I hate these "experiences" because they cost like $50 to get in and then its just IG bait rooms

the out of towner influencers love them

I mean like that is a budwiser at the world trade center observation deck

Go to Paris and pay fifty euros for a selfie in front of a backdrop of the Eiffel Tower.

If people enjoy the experience, where is the harm? Even the real thing isn't what it is cracked up to be. Like the Eiffel Tower is super crowded, you have to pay a fortune and wait for hours to go up to the top. And when I was there it was patrolled by the military with assault rifles due to terrorist threat. No thanks but people love it. so good for them

We went to an "ice cream museum" in San Francisco. You paid to get in, got shuffled from room to room, got tiny ice cream tastes in each spot. It was 100% for "the gram" My kids loved it. It was dumb.

Honestly - I think it’s silly fun. I could see my older Girl Scouts thinking it was super fun.

I agree! Where is the harm? There isn't any. If it is fun and enjoyable? Do it! Particularly if its a family thing that is new and different? And you get some cute photos? why not
