The mage talent trees are still unrevealed...

but none of the datamined or speculative things I've seen are making me optimistic about improvements to Arcane.

I thought Arcane was pretty strong, though?

It isn't awful, and I still like playing, but some added variety would be nice.

Legion had a good AoE spell that you could use at range instead of having to get into melee, and one that would let you pop back to your starting location after using blink. Fun and useful.

I must not have talented for that blink one.

Fire is still putting the 'glass' in 'glass cannon'. It's like having to Bear to level Druid, if I wanna be sure I survive, I swap to Arcane.

It is a talent now, but you need to cast Alter Time first, so you have to plan on using it instead of just responding to the situation.

That doesn't make much sense.
