[family/medical question] So, a week ago, my aunt got surgery for a deviated septum (another aunt got the same yesterday) but a week later, she's still in fucking agony. Is that normal??

in my experience the worst part of it was having to breathe only through my mouth for a couple days, and the first few days of using the nasal rinse they gave me sucked because there was so much blood to wash out

update from my aunt: they packed her nose, didn't help. So she said they put a balloon in that stays until Monday. They think it was the ibuprofen that triggerd the bleeding???

okay so my experience with ibuprofen induced nose bleeding, is that you very often swallow the blood so yeah that would actually explain her feeling dizzy and weak possibly nauseous if she's been bleeding and swallowing it and ibuprofen is an NSAID it's not as much a blood thinner aspirin but it is one yeah
