the green basket brings back childhood memories. i used to take the empty strawberry baskets and make cages for toys lol

i grew up in a semi farming community (like, not really a farming community, but there are a LOT of farms around), and i would get flats of boxes of strawberries from fruit stands at the side of the road (because they only sold them with like..i wanna say 8? of those together) and oh my god so many strawberries i would eat them until i got sick, every year.

we are in a strawberry area and I get the flats of strawberries to make jam in those

girlllll same ... 6 baskets in a half flat ... I always cut them up right away to prevent them going bad, not on a cutting board, but against my thumb, and of course one goes in my mouth for every two that I cut

it has just occured to me i havent seen these baskets in a long time

Gogo ♔ : they're moving away from this style to cardboard things because bad for the environment, but these are such a nostalgia thing for me, i had to!

Allegory : where i live its all plastic clamshell things. i hate them. i miss the little green baskets

Nimil : grocery store here is all clamshell- but farmer's market/roadside stalls here are moving towards open cardboard

they are changing over from clear plastic to cardboard here. never had those basket style boxes

childhood memories!

We lived near a ton of orchards when I was a kid and used to go pick cherries and peaches. Now they are all gone. Half of them are housing and the other half were turned into sand pits for construction sand- which eventually become fake lakes with housing.

These are fab!
