We've had a bumper crop of fledglings this year and the fields are constantly alight with flashes of color and a joyous cacophony. The birds seemingly understand that the dogs keep predators at bay, and there's been enough generations born and raised here that they've decided we're little more than lawn ornaments.

Got distracted by one of "our" deer bringing her fawns around for the first time this year. She gave birth to twins last year, too, and then adopted an orphan and raised all three together.
