One of the fledglings in the nest inside my roof failed to thrive. The heat was just high enough that she's already mummified, so I pried open the storm grating to remove the body before it made any of the other birds ill. The skin's too dry for me to clean the bones with a blade, so chemical! Bath! To get me some BONES.

I've sunk her into water in a sealed container to restart the decay process. The idea is that the meat will continue its normal process of falling off the bone. Every few days I'll need to strain the water, pick out the bits that aren't just... meat and feathers... and then drop everything into a new bath and repeat as needed.

It'll smell very bad so I'll have to hike into the woods to dump the water each time.

Eventually the water will be replaced with hydrogen peroxide.

Bleach would really kick start things, but I'm worried the bones are so small and delicate that it'd just melt them.
