was reading the overall review of Lightyear before watching it yesterday. And the review said it’s a bit underwhelming. So I lower my expectations.

And I actually agree. That movie is so underwhelmed, it’s comparable to Onward.

Animation is quite super ultra high definition, but somehow lacking the beauties of Pixar’s movies. Like how Turning Red is gorgeously pastel, or how Luca is vibrant with a bit of summer feeling. Lightyear is just high def without any vibe.

Story wise it quite interesting at the first half but sadly after that, the story became a bit “messy”. The comedy and the sad part are lacking the oomph factors.

Socks the robot cat is probably the nice small thing about this movie. And it scream merchandise .
