this reminds me of a thing I saw about how traffic lights couldn't use LEDs because they weren't hot enough to melt snow/ice.

but they do...

I think those have additional heaters installed if they're going to be somewhere snowy

it slowed adoption a bit

but yeah just put a little bitty heater in it
