that's what producers think people want, and therefore create, but I don't think that means something fresh wouldn't sell

I loved the Lego Batman movie because it was about 2/3 sticking edgy manchild Batman into 66 Batman logic

The other 1/3 being WB advertising the number of properties they own the rights to aged poorly though
