Get phone call from health people

Phone: "We're calling to schedule your ADHD testing"

Me: "Cool"

Phone: "Looks like we're all booked through July and that's as far as our schedule goes"

Me: "ok"

Phone: "So, we can't do it, call back in a week or two"

why did you call me

I know realistically how a call like that could happen but just

you called me to schedule something then turned me down because of information you had

a girl invites you out behind the school to tell you that she's decided against confessing to you, then leaves

job interview where they meet you at the door to tell you your application has been rejected

this may be to alleviate anxiety from not being called back to begin with, but there's got to be a better way because it just stokes a different kind of anxiety

you get a call back from the company you had a job interview with

to tell you that they still haven't decided
