〈今日愛爾蘭史〉1974年5月17日 都柏林與莫納亨爆炸案

攻擊者是來自北愛的效忠英國派，但被認為有英國保安部隊涉入或協助。三枚炸彈在晚間尖峰時段於首都都柏林爆炸，約19分鐘後有第四枚在Monaghan爆炸，總計炸死33名平民以及一名足週但未出生的嬰兒。受傷人數近300名。這是北愛動亂期間最致命的攻擊，也是愛爾蘭共和國史上最致命的攻擊。死者年齡從未出生到80歲都有，而多數死者都是年輕女性。

On this day 1974 British agents detonated bombs in Monaghan and Dublin, killing 34 innocents. Survivors and the families of victims have campaigned for truth and justice ever since.
