This is a good thread

It’s very rare that I get to let other characters feel what Darin’s gone through and he and Allura have had a very rocky start to their CR since they’re both stubborn in completely different ways

But after what she saw in his dream bubble, Darin is starting to find that maybe he can start to trust and he’s slowly going to get on that road to deciding to be a hero

This is where I feel it’s really starting

And also, I love getting to play Darin dropping his usual facade for someone who is just so very tired and wants genuine human companionship but is so afraid of disappointing everyone around him

The fact that Diomuhr looks Altean was always a happy coincidence but it’s giving this thread a little extra punch

And I love being able to play Tsundere Darin too

god I love how meaty this all feels

like as much as I do love the takahashi couple trope, I feel like this is building something with more depth, and more complicated than the usual "I can't stand that I'm getting along with this person, let me start a fight with them instead"
