Thing that regularly pisses me off from people who claim to be on the left (but probably aren’t): completely changing the meaning of terminology to suit your needs

Today’s offender, a lady on Facebook complaining that her boyfriends don’t respect her boundaries. What boundaries are they breaking? Her “boundary” of them not being allowed to hang out with any other women without her present.

And then when she gets predictably dragged, accusing everyone of misogyny.

Looking at her profile, she doesn’t look like a troll, either. Just a manipulative narcissist trying to repurpose social justice language for her own purposes and robbing the words of their power in the process.

Ok, now we’re all “toxic” 😂. Lady I’m sorry you had someone cheat on you once, that doesn’t make it “healthy boundaries” to forbid all your SOs from hanging out with friends without your supervision

Turns out being an asshole isn't a political thing. And I hate it when people twist terminology like that to cover for abuse.
