and thinking about how most of the monsters assume she is picking a specific monster for each, but I can't think of (to my own knowledge, but i'd love to look through the fog boc soon to see) any time she specifically admitted to choosing a particular monster for any character
i do think, world-building-wise, the characters ICly only really know like. what they've confirmed with each other, what monsters and historybooks have said
my ooc belief is that monster form is mostly outside her control and corresponds to personality traits, except ryslig is on fire in every possible way so sometimes it breaks and you get a flip or a random
The part that she denies is the part where she actually does want to feel validated and like she's doing something 'right' at any time bc she hasn't felt like that her whole life.

rika is putting together ideas about staying out of the god stuff but having ascended past mortality once thinks if she can play the game right she can somehow supplant or do an end run around the gods. which is probably not actually going to happen but try telling that to someone used to having significant abilities/dealing with gods.
