eyyyyy turns out I have muscular dystrophy! the hospital got my DNA results back and then didn't bother to call me for 3 months lol

anyway it's a genetic thing so apparently I've had this my whole life and we just didn't know until now, good times

they also don't know if this has anything to do with the seizures or not, apparently the answer is "it could go either way" so, exciting 🌈✨

I'm using sarcastic emoji but I actually am mildly excited that my relatives have to stop telling me I'm just out of shape and need to exercise more and that'll make everything go away lmao

anyway the seizure stuff is not solved yet, trying different medications, but jesus christ you don't know how much of a weight it is off the shoulders to have some kind of official diagnosis

oh god I'm so glad you have some answers at least. though what the hell, not calling for 3 months?? hope your medications work out and the source of the seizures is sussed out /every hug

apparently there was a whole entire test I was supposed to come do that nobody told me about either, seems like some wires got crossed last time I was there lmao. my actual doctor is really nice and helpful so maybe paperwork got messed up somewhere
