I keep thinking of the proposed reunion for this game and getting the depressing realization that the only character I have who'd willingly return for it died.

Just, y'know. America would've quit because she can't be a Legionnaire and a Judge and (good) Judges are more valuable than superheroes in her opinion. Also because her job requires executing folks, and that's a big ol' no-no.

Most of the legionnaires that have died stayed dead. Garth is like the one exception because his consciousness mixed with teh weird crystals in the Jan-monster Jan became and revived off that

Weird lucky mix of their two powers

Monstress, Jan, Gim, and James never came back

Oh and like... Wildfire is technically a revival of two allies of the team but two dead guys merged into one new person so they're dead as individuals
