I saw this one idea I liked about Luisa being interested in learning the piano as a kid, but then accidentally breaking the piano after getting her gift and being too afraid to try it again for a long while
Another headcanon I have is the idea that Alma, intentionally or not, may have given Luisa the impression that she has to protect the Encanto from danger
Like, we talk about how versatile Isabelaโs powers are, and she can definitely do some creative stuff in a fight. But I think thatโs just something sheโs now discovering about her gift
Yeah like... the village kids had to ask Mirabel whether Antonio had a gift instead of... asking himself, so it's clear he doesn't have friends. It makes we wonder if the Madrigals had much social lives at all outside their relatives and, in Pepa and Julieta's cases, future spouses.
I can imagine her talking to Luisa as she grew up, and saying something like, โThere are many dangers outside of the Encanto. There may come a time where we will need your strength to protect us.โ
Because if we look at Surface Pressure as an insight into Luisaโs mentality, she is protecting Mirabel from a lot of physical dangers: sheโs fighting monsters, trying to stop natural disasters, etc
Right Bruno?ahahahahaaaaa
