Like maybe someone comes to the village from vandare with the intent of disrupting their operation, or trying to weaken them or convince them to go elsewhere
maya (and maybe others??) is able to help stop the sect of fishermen who are trying to stop merain, and like as a result, WIN their loyalty with that gesture...
Honestly like Maya has it in her head now that Five is basically a superhero (I have to get back to that thread too it just deserves More Time than I have had brain for this week) SO I FEEL LIKE SHE WOULD SUPER BE ON BOARD W HIS HELP
and there's ways to orchestrate this where she and the rest feel they're doing more good than harm
what if she had them start competing through pirating/pillaging other fishing vessels and had them sacrifice their competitors to the fogif maya also thinks that pirates are fun, maybe you could swing a slightly lighter version of that??
better than her doing a bunch of slaughtering, at the very least
