Ohio requires 180 Contact Hours (18CEUS) or 6 semester hours in a five year period, while we're actively teaching...and without funding the credits (we have to pay out of pocket) and then the license itself is like $200 minimum on renewal (+ more for specific area fees).

and that's why i never got my teaching license even though I have a masters degree in history. Accreditation costs are fucking ridiculous

The tests were fucking ridiculous, and honestly upkeep on my license wouldn't even really cost me anything outside of renewal fees if I hadn't been forced out of one school (still convinced that principal had it out for me, but whatever).

My current school does enough trainings and what not that staff normally don't have to worry about Contact Hours, but switching districts and coming from one that was a bit of a shit with CEUS....I might need more.

Like right now I'm at 12.4 CEUs, and earned 3.2 this year so far, I need 18.0 so...I'll have to see where I am a the end of may and see what more I can do to to ensure I have enough.
