In 1995, I visited "Torness" nuclear power plant in Edinburgh, Scotland. Took a guided tour. Someone asked if the alarms had ever gone off. Tour guide said, "Yeah. Twice. Furst time was April 1986 - but we had not finished construction on the site. There was no nuclear material here". Turned out it was Chernobyl.
Turned out it was Chernobyl.
TV news (8pm, Florida) is currently reporting a Russian attack on a different plant in Ukraine - which is 10 times larger than Chernobyl was.
Let's hope for some of that "fake news" that TV is so proud of.
