My husband cut his own hair again and it’s real bad. .-. And I wouldn’t mind so much except. He has to talk to the public. In person for his job.

I’m looking at him and going like “...so you gave yourself a haircut” and he goes “it was getting in my eyes!”

I offered to take him to the barber and he got upset and quiet and was like “it wasn’t straight so I just kept cutting it.”

I feel so bad for him but it looks really awful

the first rule of cutting your own hair is to STOP if you don't like how it's coming out! hairdressers can fix bad haircuts but they can't regrow your hair

...I started cutting my own hair as a poor college student and then only this fall started going back to the hairdresser; those first few haircuts were stressful.

time to go bald?

Covid made me a big fan of clippering my own hair. Cheap, relatively easy to do, and it's functionally impossible to have a bad hair day when your hair is just 3/8th of an inch long. But sadly only an option for people who want super-short hair.

+1 to 'clipping my own hair / my partner's hair for many happy years...' but It did eventually lead to a severe telling off when I finally went to get it done at an actual salon.

He was like: "No offence but this haircut looks really cheap. Let me guess, you went to a barber, not a salon?"

Me, sweating: "ha ha sure, yes... a barber..."

Also good god do I relate to little Sergio just being like: "It wasn't going right so I just kept going :c"

LOL yeah the one time I had a salon do it it was definitely better, but I'm cheap and also, like, the least stylish person in the world so I just shrug and go "eh, good enough for TEAMS meetings"
